When originally purchasing a timeshare option, Arnold’s family was his main priority, but Arnold felt that the sales team took advantage of his family.
The following is a firsthand, written account about Arnold’s deceptive timeshare experience. We hope his story will help shed a light on the distrustful practices of the timeshare sales industry. Names have been changed or redacted due to privacy concerns.
As a father and a provider for his family, Arnold originally thought the timeshare could work in their favor. Arnold always prioritizes his family above all else, so when he was told that a timeshare would provide reasonable, yet desirable, vacation opportunities for them, Arnold seized what he thought was a great deal at the time.
However, it didn’t take long for Arnold to realize just what sort of situation he’d gotten himself and his entire family into. What he thought was a reasonable price on the day of the timeshare presentation, in fact, wasn’t the actual price at all. As with many timeshare owners, Arnold faced lies, unreasonably rising costs related to the timeshare and utter disrespect from the timeshare representatives he talked to--which, conveniently for the timeshare company, Arnold was never able to speak with the same representative twice.
“The timeshare sales people were never honest in any communications or dealings; the costs around this timeshare kept rising ridiculously; and we were never treated with respect. They were constantly pressuring us into buying more points to even reserve our preferred dates. Of course, many of these issues only got worse with time.”
Arnold felt disrespected as a father because he couldn't give his family the vacations he’d originally wanted to, and he felt disrespected as a man because these timeshare representatives had the gall to repeatedly lie to his face and do nothing to even cover their tracks. It seemed as if every statement was a lie to add onto other lies; there were no attempts from the timeshare company to even resolve the issues he’d had prior. The timeshare representatives simply kept telling him more lies to get more money from Arnold, rather than genuinely solve his family’s vacation problems.
Feeling defeated, Arnold just wanted to escape this timeshare ‘opportunity.’ He tried to reason with the timeshare company directly, but anyone can see how this ended for him…
“I tried talking with the timeshare company about getting out from under this escalating burden. They would, of course, in no way cooperate or offer any means to help me or my family.”
One day, though, while watching television, Arnold saw a commercial for Wesley Financial Group, LLC (WFG). He’d heard of timeshare exit companies before, but he was hesitant to reach out to any of them. He researched WFG online, and after seeing some customer testimonials, he decided to reach out to us here at WFG. It took some time, but Arnold is certainly happy that he is now timeshare free, and to make matters even better, Arnold is now relieved of nearly $45,000 of timeshare mortgage debt!*
“Everyone I worked with at WFG was pleasant, professional, honest and completely open with me as to the entire process. The complete experience was just as promised, from beginning to completion.
From beginning to end, it took about 3 and a half years to cancel the timeshare. But even though it was quite a while, it was totally worth it.”
If you know anyone with a similar timeshare experience, please feel free to pass our phone number along to them. We’d love to see if they qualify for our timeshare termination services.
