Rhonda & Roger S. Endured Nothing But Headaches With Their Timeshare Company

Rhonda and Roger S. were led to believe that their timeshare was the ultimate answer to all their vacation issues and complaints. What happened after they purchased it, though, is anything but helpful...

Below is a written account of the timeshare debacle that Rhonda and Roger’s family experienced. We hope their written account will enlighten you to some of the tactics that the timeshare industry often uses on good, unsuspecting people. Names of people have been changed and/or redacted for privacy reasons.

Rhonda and Roger were contacted about attending a short meeting in exchange for some free cruise tickets. On top of the cruise tickets, they also received gift cards for their three hours of time during the meeting. The meeting was full of so much more pressure than the couple could’ve ever expected!

“We thought it was a good idea because they told us it would supplement our vacation plans and we can leave it to our children and that they’d never have to pay for a vacation again. They also told us that we could travel anywhere we wanted at any time we wanted, and we wouldn’t have to pay a lot of money for hotel or resort stays.

They also told us that we wouldn’t have to pay maintenance fees because we could use referrals to pay them. They told us we would save so much money by going on vacation their way.”

The couple realized this was not the case after their purchase, and they had nothing but trouble with the timeshare since. From booking and payments to inconveniences throughout the few trips they were able to take, Rhonda and Roger’s timeshare definitely has bad memories for the couple and their family.

“We weren’t able to book the times we wanted, there were no amenities at one of the resorts we were able to reserve, and another resort was so disgusting that we had to be moved to another room on another floor (which had construction going on). It all just felt like a never ending headache.”

The couple tried to work out a deal with their timeshare company. But just as they did with booking available rooms at resorts, the timeshare company was unwilling to make any offers because they knew that Rhonda and Roger were stuck with them (or so they thought). After some online research, Rhonda and Roger decided to reach out to us here at Wesley Financial Group, LLC (WFG), after seeing so many great reviews online
