Carolyn and Doug R. got caught up in the whirlwind of intense and pressuring propaganda. It all began when they were offered a free weekend getaway at a new resort. While having never done this before, it was alluring. Hence they fell into the trap and became timeshare owners.

“We visited this resort for a free two-night stay, and we thought it would be a nice vacation. We had not been on vacation since we had children. We had no idea we’d have to attend a presentation. What was supposed to be 90-minutes resulted in taking up a whole day.”

Timeshare presentations going far past their allotted time is a sales tactic. It makes potential clients so exhausted that they will agree to leave. In essence, that is what transpired with this couple.

“There were many salesmen, all of whom pressured us to buy. They made timeshares sound like they would make vacations more affordable. We paid a lot of money that day!”

Everything Changed Under New Management

Soon after the pair’s purchase, the resort changed management companies. Although they did not even have time to use the timeshare before this took place, this is when things took a turn for the worst.

“All of the key selling points that interested us were taken off the table by the new company. We got no notice in advance about this either. Instead, we had to attend yet another meeting. But that was the only way we could make use of the timeshare.”

The only way they could book a room at the resort was by attending more presentations, this time with a focus on upgrades.

In Debt and Sleepless

By this point, the couple was not happy with their predicament, yet, they were not looking for a way out. They thought it was never an option. So for years, Carolyn and Doug suffered through countless meetings to enjoy the resort.

What pushed the couple over the edge?

“It was NEVER mentioned that owning a timeshare was a lifetime agreement! This debt machine would be inherited! We would never have agreed to purchase something that impacts our grandkids!”

An Ad On The Radio Changes their Fate

The pair needed a way out of the agreement. But just because they looked for a way to cancel the timeshare did not mean it would be easy. Until Doug heard a radio advertisement for Wesley Financial Group, LLC (WFG).*

“One day, Doug raced home from work telling me of a radio ad about timeshare cancellations. It sounded promising and, after looking at their website. They had a strong reputation. We called and we’re glad we did! It has been a great experience working with their team. Thanks to Wesley, we can take vacations everywhere else.”

With the help of WFG, Carolyn and Doug became timeshare-free and not restricted to the terms and conditions of a fancy resort.*
