Over 20 years ago, Roy was tricked into buying two timeshares โ one for winter vacations and another for summer vacations. Now that heโs retired, he canโt afford the constant financial stress that both of these timeshares cause him.
The following includes a written account from Roy that depicts the sales strategies the timeshare salesman used to get him to buy his timeshares. We hope his story helps showcase a few of these backward tactics. The names of people and organizations have been changed or removed for privacy concerns.
โWhile it was quite some time ago, I do remember a few of the lies. The timeshare representative told me several things, including that these timeshares were an investment. He said that they would make me money in the future. I was also told there were hundreds of locations I could trade my weeks for with no problem. None of this turned out to be true.โ
Looking back on his life as a timeshare owner, Roy can think of three reasons why he needed out of these money-sucking agreements.
โThere were three reasons I needed to end my relationship with my timeshares. First, was the ever-increasing maintenance fees that I had no control over. They went from an acceptable amount to the outrageous amount of $2,400 per year. Secondly, I was unable to consistently trade my weeks, and later points, for the locations and time I wanted. This resulted in my forfeiting of the weeks or the points. The final reason was the burden of the annual maintenance fees that would be passed on to my family. Thatโs just unacceptable.โ
Puzzled by the fact that he had been lied to, Royโs timeshare cancellation success story didnโt start with a load of confidence. He first tried to get out by putting his timeshares up for sale.
โI tried listing my timeshare through a very expensive resale company for nearly two years. I never got a single hit, it was such a waste of money.โ
One day while scrolling through social media, Roy saw an advertisement for Wesley Financial Group, LLC (โWFGโ).
โI reached out to them and wanted a few references from previous clients. Wesley was able to provide me that. After signing up, I began to realize just how professional and pain-free the process at WFG is.โ
We are elated to announce that after Roy reached out to us we were able to terminate both of his timeshare agreements.* He now doesnโt have to worry about future maintenance fees or his children inheriting any future payment obligations.
โI think what I enjoyed most about working with Wesley was the professional way we worked together. If I had a question, I got an answer very quickly. Iโm very satisfied with the services. Now that Iโm timeshare free, I canโt wait to start using the money I paid maintenance fees with for other recreational activities.โ
If you know someone whoโs in timeshare distress and could use our legitimate services, pass along our phone number below. We would be more than happy to see if they qualify for our timeshare termination services.
