Kate loves to travel and go on adventures with her family, so when a sales representative told her she could do exactly that with her timeshare, she was sold. What the sales representative failed to mention? Booking whenever she wanted was going to cost extra.
Below includes excerpts from Kate in regards to her timeshare nightmare. We hope her written account will help expose a few of the unethical sales strategies the timeshare industry uses on innocent clients. Names of people have been changed and/or redacted for privacy reasons.
โThey kept telling me that it was a better way to save money on vacation and be in a nice hotel with everything in there, so we don’t have to worry about supplies in the room. They kept taking advantage of the fact that I love family togetherness and they kept telling me with a timeshare that would be a dream come true.โ
Later on in her timeshare presentation, Kate was misled in the aspect of booking dates for her vacation.
โThe sales reps kept telling me that I could enjoy the timeshare anytime I wanted to vacation with my family. They said I could book any dates I wanted, but in reality there were certain dates that I had to upgrade in order to be able to book them. It was all such a lie.โ
It wasnโt but a few months after she signed on her timeshare that Kate realized what a system she had been thrown into. She immediately tried to contact her timeshare company but they were not compliant.
โI tried getting out because I couldn’t keep up with the payment and they said that I couldn’t just get out of it. I then asked if I could sell my timeshare and they said that also wasnโt an option for me. I felt stuck.โ
Thatโs when Kate noticed a magazine advertisement for Wesley Financial Group, LLC (WFG).
โWesley was very helpful and they guarantee that theyโll get you out of your timeshare, or your money back. I’m very happy with the people at Wesley. They work with you and give you a lot of support and show you that you will get out of this.โ
We are happy to announce that not only did our staff terminate Kateโs timeshare agreement, but they were also able to relieve her of over $200,000 in timeshare mortgage debt.*
โI’m happy so I don’t have to pay a huge loan. Iโm so grateful for the team at Wesley. They told me they would get me out and they did just that.โ
