Being Timeshare Owners Was A Budgeting Disaster For This Couple

Timeshare salespeople rolled out the red carpet when selling to Matthew and Danielle M. This couple received a free vacation stay in Orlando just for attending a timeshare presentation. They knew something was up, though, when this 90-minute presentation turned out to be over four hours long! Matthew and Danielle never knew this trip would change their lives forever.

From a financial aspect, everything for them changed after this day. Despite never getting the chance to use the timeshare, they paid way more than they ever expected for it over the years. Not wanting others to fall into the same situation, Matthew and Danielle are now sharing their experience with all of us! In the story below, we have changed or omitted the name of companies and people due to privacy concerns.

“We never used the timeshare. Due to our work schedules and multiple health issues, we were never able to coincide with the available booking at the resort. They told us it would be a breeze to schedule vacations, but that was far from true. Despite all of this, we were still required to pay for the unit every year. Any money for family vacations had to go to the timeshare instead.”

Matthew and Danielle were not able to take actual vacations because all their funds had to go to paying off the resort each year, and they could not book anything there! Not only that, but it was affecting their budgeting in other areas of their lives too.

“With numerous medical issues arising in our family, it was becoming increasingly difficult to manage our money. Every year we would have to pay the resort and each time the price would get higher and higher. Due to this, we were falling way behind in debt.”

Going back to when it all began, Matthew and Danielle were not even interested in owning a timeshare when they attended that sales presentation. It was the intense pressure and manipulation by the salespeople that misled the couple into this ownership.

“First off, it was not as short as it was advertised to be. It was hours and hours of high-pressure, non-stop sales talking. They would not give us time to ask any questions, and when we tried to write down notes, they urged us to stop each time. We were given the impression this timeshare would grow in value and not lose it all in the first year of owning.”

Matthew and Danielle were lied to and misled from the beginning. They honestly had no idea what they were getting themselves into because the salespeople made it out to seem like it was the investment of a lifetime. Sadly, it was the complete opposite for this couple.

Luckily for them, there was still light at the end of the tunnel. When they got word that a leading company in the timeshare exit industry, Wesley Financial Group, LLC, could help them with their situation, they leaped at the opportunity. For good reason too, because it was not too long after this that Matthew and Danielle were claiming to be timeshare-free!*

“Now we can vacation on our own terms and do not have to constantly worry about paying an annual bill. Thank you, WFG, for all your help with this!”

If you know anyone with a similar timeshare experience to Matthew and Danielle’s, please feel free to pass our phone number along to them. We’d love to see if they qualify for our timeshare termination services.
