Belinda Was Offered Tickets To Disney World In Exchange For Attending A Timeshare Presentation

I don't know about you, but I love Disney World. Imagine being offered free Disney World tickets just to attend a timeshare presentation. That'd be a no-brainer. Right?

It seemed so for Belinda W., but now she knows better. In hindsight, Belinda would tell you that accepting those free tickets was one of the worst decisions she’s made. See, there was a catch. In order to receive the free tickets, Belinda and her family would have to sit through a timeshare sales presentation!

Timeshare salespeople dangled the Disney World tickets over Belinda and her family until they agreed to attend the presentation. The salespeople then continued with shady antics until an unjust sale was made that same day - a sale that would cost Belinda gravely for the next two decades. Read about Belinda's treacherous timeshare experience here:

What Started As Just A Trip To Florida, Turned Into A Timeshare Nightmare

"I was vacationing in Florida with my husband and daughter when an overly friendly salesperson approached us. Disney World tickets were offered to us if we agreed to listen to a short presentation. We went, and there was immense pressure put on us to buy, but all in a phony-friendly manner. They explained how wonderful it is to own a timeshare and showed us very nice resort pictures. The meeting ended up lasting nearly 3 hours."

People tend to feel very comfortable and relaxed when they're on vacation. Because people are "living in the moment", it's easy for them to get talked into something they may later regret. That's what happened in Belinda's situation; the timeshare salesmen misguided her into an unnecessary financial disaster.

"It was always difficult to use the timeshare even though I supposedly had a week reserved every year. There was hardly anything ever available, and the promise of exchanging with other resorts was futile. Also, trying to rent out the unit to friends was unfair because the company wanted half of the asking fee, and we had to pay taxes on the entire amount."

The timeshare salespeople lied to Belinda. Perhaps one of the worst lies was deceiving Belinda into believing her timeshare unit could turn her a profit through renting it out. However, rather than being a source of income, it became a financial drain for Belinda.

When Renting Out Her Timeshare Wouldn’t Work, She Tried Selling It Instead

"I am a retired widow now and no longer have the means to travel. The cost of living is already too high, and it's difficult to make ends meet. Owning a timeshare became a heavy burden for me. The maintenance fees increased every year, and I started to lose money. Furthermore, I still haven't used it in several years!

Despite being assured that renting and selling the timeshare were always available options, Belinda was left with an undesirable timeshare. When working with the timeshare company turned out to be unsuccessful, she turned elsewhere for help.

"I tried selling it twice but lost even more money doing that by believing untrustworthy people who claimed they could sell it when they couldn't. I was frustrated and at a loss on how to get rid of this timeshare."

To make matters worse, while looking for assistance, Belinda fell victim to multiple timeshare sales scams. These sorts of companies use similar tactics as timeshare salespeople to dupe their prey. These experiences left Belinda bewildered and exhausted.

Thankfully, it only took a couple of conversations with representatives of Wesley Financial Group, LLC (“WFG”)  before Belinda finally felt like someone was safe to help her. WFG reps stayed in constant communication with Belinda, so she always knew how the process was going.

It didn't take long for Belinda to find freedom. In less than six months, Wesley Financial Group completely terminated her timeshare agreement. Furthermore, those maintenance fees were finally put to a stop!* Belinda was finally timeshare-free once again!

"I am so grateful and happy to have finally escaped that timeshare trap! Escaping was challenging, but once I connected with Wesley Financial Group, I was able to find my way out!"
