Cameron H. Remembers His Timeshare Presentation Vividly

Cameron has a notoriously great memory. As a retired US Marine, father of five children and grandfather to (currently) three grandchildren, he practically has to have a near-perfect memory. With such a great mental tool at his disposal, he remembers many of the lies and exaggerated truths that were told to him during the timeshare sales meeting.

The following is a firsthand, written account about Cameron’s deceptive timeshare experience. We hope his story will help shed a light on the distrustful practices of the timeshare sales industry. Names have been changed or redacted due to privacy concerns.

When they were offered a discounted stay at a hotel in Myrtle Beach, SC, in exchange for attending a short timeshare presentation, Cameron thought it would be a great opportunity to get some of his large family together for a nice getaway.

He wanted to avoid any sort of potential conflicts involving fees and timing, so Cameron remembers that he and his wife arrived early to the timeshare meeting. From this point, he remembers the pressure cooker-like environment that he stepped into--the intense questioning, multiple salesmen and the compounding offers/gifts that were presented to them throughout the nearly four hour presentation.

“[Timeshare salesmen #1 name] explained how we could profit greatly from having a timeshare. Then he tried to explain how we could sell and/or rent our week, how the timeshare would pay for itself and that this is a MAJOR investment opportunity.

[The timeshare salesman] discussed various travel options for our family; for instance, he explained how we could potentially save +$1,000 for our June 2018 Barbados vacation. He said he would be available to assist us if we had any questions for this vacation. After we agreed and bought, we tried to contact him three times about planning this family vacation, but of course he was unavailable.”

This occurred nearly four years ago for Cameron, but he says that he’s tried booking his timeshare a few times since then. With no luck, Cameron began praying and looking for a way out of this pesky situation. He and his wife were trying to enjoy their retirement as well as their grandchildren’s youth by traveling as a family, but this useless, expensive timeshare was weighing their family down in multiple ways--financially, mentally and spiritually.

One day while working online, Cameron came across an advertisement for Wesley Financial Group, LLC (WFG). It was the first he’d heard of us, so he naturally did more research into his timeshare exit options and found WFG to be a very reputable, respected company.

“What sold me the most was the testimonials with a proven track record of success. I knew those couldn’t be fake. I did some more research on WFG as well. [WFG] communicated via mail and email professionally, which validated the work and promises of this great company.”

After several months of hard work on his part and the guidance of WFG, Cameron is now timeshare free! He was also gratefully relieved of approximately $13,000 of timeshare mortgage debt!* Cameron is now able to enjoy vacations with his family without the hassle of a timeshare booking trouble or wasting thousands of dollars on a vacation he could never take.
