Dan and Mary P.’s Attempts to Sell Their Timeshare Were in Vain

Dan and Mary P. were enjoying a vacation in Myrtle Beach, SC, when they were approached by a timeshare salesman. The salesman promised them all sorts of nice gifts, if only they’d attend a short presentation about some vacation opportunities. What they entered into, though, was more of a headache than they’d ever expected.

The following is a written account from Dan and Mary P. on their time spent as timeshare owners and why they regret every bit of it. We hope their story will shed a light on the wrongdoings so prevalent within the timeshare industry. Names of people and places have been changed or redacted for privacy reasons.

When they attended their timeshare sales meeting, Dan and Mary weren’t aware of the extremities that they would be subjected to. From the over four hour meeting, the couple was promised all sorts of extravagant gifts from three separate timeshare salesmen.

“Without understanding the full negative impact of our decision, we signed papers without fully understanding or reading them, only to learn the promises were not factual. Sitting for almost four hours really was more than we agreed to, but in the end, it was just a really bad mistake.”

The couple only used the timeshare once, and they say the cleanliness was so bad at the resort that they would never willingly use their timeshare again. This resort was once again in Myrtle Beach, and they had a terrible experience there between cleanliness and lack of hospitality.

“That Myrtle Beach trip was so bad that we told them we would never return. It wasn’t clean by any means. We were awakened each morning with the staff outside our room yelling and just acting terribly unprofessional. We had to step outside and ask them to be respectful of our resting time.”

When they attended an update presentation/meeting, the couple requested to sell it back to the timeshare or work out an arrangement. The timeshare managers laughed in Dan and Mary’s faces and said, “Good luck with that.” That was the final straw. Feeling trapped between disgusting properties and endless payments, the couple knew they needed a way out of their timeshare agreement.

After seeing an advertisement online for Wesley Financial Group, LLC (WFG), the couple decided to contact us and see if they qualify for our timeshare cancellation services. It took several months of constant ups and downs with their timeshare company, but Dan and Mary are now timeshare free!* They can now enjoy vacations together, while knowing they no longer owe anything in outrageous maintenance fees for a timeshare vacation property that they hardly ever used.

Do you or someone you know find yourself in a similar timeshare nightmare? Then contact us here at WFG today! We’d love to see if they qualify for our timeshare termination services.
