Elisa W. Was Never Told That Her Timeshare’s Upgrades Were Not Optional

As a self-driven single mom, Elisa knows what it means to work hard towards a reward. When her timeshare company started to give her broken promises, Elisa was very disturbed with her experiences. The following is a written account of Elisa’s timeshare story. We hope the descriptions of her situation will help enlighten some of the strategies that timeshare sales teams use on innocent and honest clients.

“I was shown misrepresented opportunities. What was supposed to be a free weekend to explain the program was just another high pressure sales pitch. Essentially, this means the weekend wasn’t free at all because I spent an entire day talking to them. The accommodations at that time were all old style...none of the updated units were shown at the original sale.

Feeling like she was pressured to sign because she’d lose out on a deal, Elisa went through with her timeshare agreement. She quickly realized that a few of the selling points she had been shown were now lies.

I was told that this would be a great investment for my kids. I was then told that it would pay for itself and that there were a lot of facilities to choose from. Finally, when I inquired about different types of pricing it was never indicated to me that maintenance fees would increase.”

When looking back at all of the lies, the one that really sticks out to Elisa is the fact that she was never told that she had to upgrade the facility/unit after a certain amount of time.

If I had known that upgrades weren’t optional, I would have never gone through with this timeshare.

After feeling like she had been wronged one too many times, Elisa started looking for a way out of her timeshare. One day she read a magazine article that mentioned Wesley Financial Group, LLC (“WFG”). She was intrigued.

I think what really helped me go through with the decision to use Wesley was all of the literature they included once I reached out. It was very informative and helped me think everything through and also helped me see what the process is all about.

We are proud to say that after signing on with us, Elisa is now timeshare free. She’s also ecstatic to announce that she’s been relieved of over $10,000 in timeshare mortgage debt.*

The people at WFG have always been very friendly and professional. One thing I can definitely say is the communication has been very consistent.

Now that she’s timeshare free, Elisa said she can’t wait to focus on a realistic idea of what retirement could look like for her.
