Evelyn and her husband Bill have been married for over 10 years. They both work high-demanding jobs and therefore love to vacation as a result of their labor intensive lifestyle. But when they were tricked into a timeshare, they suddenly realized what a vast mistake they had made.
The following includes excerpts from Evelyn in regards to her timeshare nightmare. We hope her written words will showcase some of the unethical strategies that the timeshare industry often uses on innocent customers. Names of people have been changed and/or redacted for privacy reasons.
“They made you feel like it was a once in a lifetime opportunity and they showed us this beautiful resort with all kinds of amenities. They kept us there for hours and hours. Every time we would say no and that we wanted to leave, they would bring another person over to try and convince us again. They made it sound like the point system was so much better than buying a week like other traditional timeshares. They said that there was so much availability because they had so many locations. None of that was ever the case. The entire process was a lie. It was very high pressure as well.”
Fed up with the lies, Evelyn figured she would reach out to her timeshare company to try and solve the issues at the root of the problem. But she was met with no such luck.
“We tried to contact the timeshare company directly and they said no every single time. They suggested we try and sell it with a different company but there were thousands for sale with them so we knew that would not work. We felt stuck.”
Then, one day while driving to work, Evelyn heard a radio commercial for Wesley Financial Group, LLC (WFG).
“We wanted to talk with a real person at a real company and we wanted to hear and read real reviews. WFG provided that for us. We were sold.”
We are pleased to announce that our staff was able to fully terminate Evelyn’s timeshare agreement, liberating her of this financial burden indefinitely.* When looking back at the termination process with WFG, Evelyn was most satisfied with the organization of the entire system.
“It was very organized and systematic. The original person we spoke with was very upfront and honest saying that we could also attempt to cancel ourselves, but that she was confident given our situation that she would be able to get it cancelled. Everyone through the entire process did exactly what they said they would. We also enjoyed everyone’s urgency and communication.”
Now that they’re officially timeshare free, Evelyn and her husband look forward to taking more hassle-free vacations in the near future.
