Everett & Chloe M. Were Timeshare Owners For 30 Years Before Calling It Quits

They were happy timeshare owners for years, but then something changed. Find out how Everett and Chloe’s vacation dream became a timeshare nightmare below. Including excerpts from the couple themselves, this story will cover the personal timeshare experience they had as owners and why they no longer are. Names have been changed or omitted due to privacy concerns.

“We purchased our timeshare back in 1990 and did in fact enjoy using it for the years following. We were convinced that it was a great investment not just for us, but our children too. It wasn’t until more than ten years later when things started to go sideways. We were convinced into a timeshare upgrade but don’t be fooled, it was much more of a downgrade if you ask us.”

So Everett and Chloe were enjoying vacations spent at their timeshare for many years. Then the timeshare company came in and did what they do best, and they ruined it for the happy couple.

“After the first upgrade, we began noticing much more difficulty when booking trips and finding available locations. We had never had any sort of issues before the upgrade. So we attended several owner’s meetings over the next several years, each one just making the situation worse. They would entice us with gifts at the beginning but just turn into a sales pitch as soon as we sat down and wouldn’t let us leave. We just wanted it to be easy to book vacations for our family again.”

We have heard so many client stories where timeshare upgrades only end up making matters worse for the owners and many times more costly. Everett and Chloe approached their timeshare company for help on several different occasions, and every time they were treated with disrespect and taken advantage of by salespeople.

“We gave up on the upgrades years ago and had just been paying maintenance fees for something we never use. With declining health over the past few years, we have been unable to travel, and so we no longer fought with the resort to help us. The maintenance fees had been getting out of control, especially in this past decade, and we could no longer afford the high costs every year.”

When Everett and Chloe saw an advertisement for Wesley Financial Group, LLC, they thought this could be their answer to those daunting timeshare fees. We were happy to work with this couple to see that their timeshare agreements were fully terminated, and so they will never have to stress about maintenance fees again.* Now they can both focus on their health, rather than stressing about their finances.

If you know anyone with a similar timeshare experience, please feel free to pass our phone number along to them. We’d love to see if they qualify for our timeshare termination services.
