We truly have the privilege of working with some of the most kind-hearted clients in the country. One of those clients is Paul. We are sharing his story to show just how far some timeshare companies will go to get people to upgrade their timeshare.

Paul’s Client Story

Paul bought his timeshare originally to help his late wife Beatrice enjoy her last years battling multiple sclerosis. Paul wanted to purchase a timeshare because it offered her easier access with her wheelchair compared to a hotel room. As you might imagine, the timeshare salespeople preyed on his love for his wife and his desire to make her last years better. Paul and his wife were told lie after lie and sold upgrade after upgrade. The timeshare dream he hoped would help his wife enjoy the time she had left, was quickly turning into a timeshare nightmare. Shortly after the last upgrade in 2016, Beatrice lost her battle with MS.

Now, years after her death, Paul is still paying the medical bills from the last years of caring for his wife. What hit us particularly hard in our hearts is when he made the comment, almost in passing as if it wasn’t important, that he would do it all over again if he had the choice. He would choose again to put himself in financial hardship paying medical bills even if it meant just a few more months with the love of his life.

We brought Paul on as a pro bono client and are determined to terminate his timeshare contract.
