Promised Compensation For Acting As "Realtors" For A Timeshare Company

Of all the lies that we have heard from our clients, this one takes the cake as being the most outrageous. John and Jennifer G. were told by a timeshare company that if they acted as “realtors” for the company, they would be compensated and this would help offset the costs of their timeshare mortgage and maintenance fees allowing them to accomplish their traveling dreams.

John & Jennifer G. Client Story

John and his wife, Jennifer, purchased a timeshare after being drawn in during the mandatory presentation. Just like many others, they bought into the pretty picture that the sales representatives misleadingly painted.

The sales rep went so far as to tell them that if they were to promote the timeshare company and leave brochures at gas stations and rest stops, they would be compensated more than enough to offset the costs of their mortgage and maintenance fees. So, following their instruction, Jennifer spent hours driving around and dropping off the timeshare company’s brochures. However, the timeshare never compensated her a cent and simply conned her into being used as a free marketing tool.

Although this may seem like it should be illegal, timeshare companies are often able to get away with outrageous lies just like this one. We stepped in to help John and Jennifer and are happy to report that their timeshare contract is cancelled and they are now happily living timeshare free.

Timeshare salespeople are often given great leeway to make many different misleading statements. Typically, all they care about is making sales. If you have been the victim of one of these lies, we may be able to help you cancel your timeshare contract. Reach out to us today to see if you qualify for our timeshare cancellation services.
