This past Saturday, December 12th, Wesley Financial Group employees volunteered at the "Christmas on Monroe" event. The annual event is put on by Mt. Carmel Baptist Church as a way to help families in need around the holidays. The event helped over 600 families this year by providing food and toys for Christmas.
CEO and founder of Wesley Financial Group, Chuck McDowell, donated $70,000 worth of toys and food for the families at the event. Volunteers from our company joined Chuck and his wife, Jo Ellen McDowell, to pass out meals and toys to the families who attended.
Giving back and doing all the good we can is something that our employees feel very strongly about. But this year, giving back and supporting our community is more important than ever.
If you missed Saturday's event, Mt. Carmel Baptist Church is doing another round of donations Thursday, December 17th starting at 9 am.
