Breanna B. Couldn’t Believe The Cost Of Her Maintenance Fee

Breanna and her husband live in northern Wisconsin. With brutal winters, the thought of vacationing every year somewhere warm really excited them. Unfortunately, doing so with a timeshare ended up being detrimental to their finances. Below is a word for word account of the timeshare ordeal that Breanna experienced. We hope her written account will enlighten some of the tactics that the timeshare industry often uses on good, unsuspecting people. Names of people have been changed and/or redacted for privacy reasons.

“We were offered a stay at a resort in California where we ended up purchasing a points-based timeshare. This happened after we attended a high pressure presentation. We quickly learned that the arrangement was not as promised.”

Not only did Breanna and her husband lose out on a few promised benefits, they also watched their maintenance fees skyrocket.

“Over the three years we owned, our maintenance fees went from $500 to $2,500. We purchased points that were allotted every year and if not used or rolled over by a certain date you lost those points. There were many aspects of the agreement that we were not aware of at the time that led us to major financial strain.”

When Breanna reflects on the lies that she was told she can’t believe some of the things that were said. One that sticks out in particular is when she was told her timeshare was practically a free vacation.

“The line they used over and over again was that we would have “free vacations for life.” Not only did our maintenance fees quadruple, but the perpetuity clause was never mentioned and the fees climbed up and up. The presentation was very intense, much like a car dealership where you meet the salesman or the financial officer. We were there for five hours! The intense sales tactics and tricks to talk us into insane financing and refinancing were the hardest to realize after the fact, until our finances were destroyed.”

Looking for a way out of her financial catastrophe, Breanna found an online advertisement for Wesley Financial Group, LLC (WFG). When she heard Chuck McDowell’s story she was immediately hooked.

“I felt confident choosing a company whose founder knew exactly what I was going through. After hearing Chuck’s story, that’s when I scheduled my free consultation and I’m so grateful I did.”

We are pleased to announce that after Breanna signed on with the WFG team we were able to assist her in relieving over $40,000 in timeshare mortgage debt. We are also happy to say that both Breanna and her husband are now timeshare free.*

“The process at WFG was better than expected. It was excellent. Every step went as promised and Wesley handled everything. Whether it was the financing availability, straightforward conversation or the sheer size of the company, WFG gave us the piece of mind we needed. They truly have the right talent for this kind of work.”

Now that they are free of their timeshare, Breanna and her family can’t wait to travel again. This time without having to think about their timeshare.
