Claudia Was Told Her Timeshare Would Flexibly Fit Her Demanding Military Schedule

Claudia and her husband met in the military. With such demanding schedules, they didn’t have a lot of time to devote to relaxing and enjoying vacations. The couple attended a timeshare presentation and were told that a timeshare was the perfect option for their vacation availability.

The following is a firsthand, written account about Claudia's deceptive timeshare experience. We hope her story will help shed a light on the distrustful practices of the timeshare sales industry. Names have been changed or redacted due to privacy concerns.

When she purchased a timeshare located in Florida, Claudia thought that she could make the best of her free time when not tied up with her stressful military duties. She wanted to enjoy time with her husband, also in the military, so Claudia bought into the lies spilled to her by the timeshare sales team during that everlong sales meeting.

What she could’ve never anticipated, though, was the amount of work and attention a timeshare vacation would need outside of her available vacation time.

“[The timeshare sales people] told us that we would have unlimited vacations, one week during our assigned week and another ‘free’ week to use whenever we please. They also said if we didn’t want to use our assigned week at the timeshare then we could use it to trade in for a cruise or whatnot.

What [the sales people]  didn’t tell us was that if we didn’t use our week or wanted to sell it, we would have to buy into another program just to do that!”

Claudia had been told countless lies about the value of her timeshare and its flexibility. Timeshare sales people are notorious for “embellishing” just to close the sale and line their own pockets, so why should Claudia--a selfless member of the military whose vacation time is very valuable--be any different for them, right?

When she asked about trying to sell the timeshare, Claudia was told that she would have to go through a licensed realtor for the process. This was practically opposite what Claudia was told when she first bought into the timeshare. Her attempts to sell the timeshare would prove to be just as difficult and impossible as trying to reserve it during her available vacation time.

Frustrated and at her wits end, Claudia began researching ways to escape her timeshare beyond selling it. But her best option appeared on her social media feed one day when she saw an advertisement for Wesley Financial Group, LLC (WFG). Claudia has enjoyed working with WFG throughout the entire timeshare cancellation process!*

“I read the testimonials online and instantly knew that we wouldn’t get the runaround about how to get rid of our timeshare.

WFG works very diligently to help us get rid of this problem. The lines of communication are very clear: every comment, question and concern we have is always answered by them. They update us monthly on the cancellation process and where we stand.”

If you know anyone with a similar timeshare experience, please feel free to pass our phone number along to them. We’d love to see if they qualify for our timeshare termination services.
