Enticed By Free Amusement Park Passes, Stephany and Erick S. Buy Disastrous Timeshare

For Stephany and Erick, it all started with the bait of free tickets to an amusement park. The catch? They would have to attend a 90-minute presentation about the benefits of buying a timeshare. “One of the things I remember early on was that the sales representatives mentioned it was a short meeting with no obligation to buy. They provided us breakfast and took our children to play games and do activities while we listened to their meeting. We were fed lie after lie about how great of an investment it was and all the benefits that came with a timeshare. Our sales representative showed us multiple positive review emails from his ‘client family’ as he called them. We finally gave in.”

Throughout the process, numerous salesmen surrounded Stephany and Erick while they were sitting down to try and intimidate them into buying. 

“I remember they just kept surrounding us, not giving us any space to have a private conversation or even whisper to one another. Every time we declined to go through with the timeshare purchase another salesman came right back out. It was very overwhelming and I honestly feel like we made a rushed and forced decision.”
