Thomas & Kate D. Were Never Able to Use Their Timeshare

Thomas & Kate D. were enjoying their vacation at Hilton Head, South Carolina, when they stopped to talk to a seemingly harmless vendor at a little cart outside the restaurant where they were waiting to be seated. What ensued after taking advantage of some “free coupons” is a story all too familiar...

Below is a written account of Thomas & Kate’s experience during and after the intense timeshare sales presentation. We hope this story will shed some light on the very predatory nature of timeshare sales and its effects on everyday families. Names of people have been changed and/or redacted for privacy reasons.

“When we stopped to talk to someone sitting at a little cart outside the restaurant where we planned to eat, they gave us coupons to local shops if we just attended a nearby resort for a ‘short’ presentation. We went to the presentation and immediately insisted that we were only attending in return for the coupons and we would be leaving soon.

They put an extreme amount of pressure on me [Thomas] being able to provide a nice vacation for all the family and since we always took vacations anyway, this would be cheaper. We initially stuck to our guns and insisted we weren’t interested, but after not really allowing us to leave and sending in two other sales people and reducing the price, we caved. After two and a half hours,  we were just ready to leave!”

How was the couple’s experience after purchasing their timeshare? Maybe they had a change of heart and were able to enjoy vacations responsibly and stress free? Unfortunately not. Their experience has been like so many others after being trapped in their timeshare option.

“We have never even been able to use the timeshare. We have tried to book it on several occasions, but either the location or the time was not available.

Spending over $3,000 per year for something we can’t nor have we ever used, is creating a tremendous burden on us financially and emotionally. We have children in college, and these funds could very well be used for something much more beneficial.”

After seeing an advertisement for Wesley Financial Group, LLC (“WFG”) online and finally growing tired of paying useless fees and mortgages, Thomas and Kate decided to contact us here at WFG and see if they were eligible for our timeshare termination services. Thankfully, WFG has assisted the couple with terminating their timeshare!*

If you or someone you know could potentially use our assistance here at WFG, pass along our phone number below. We would be more than happy to see if they qualify for our timeshare termination services!
