Daniel considers travelling to be one of his many passions. Both he and his wife are teachers, and so they love to travel anytime they have long breaks during the middle of winter or summer. After the couple was told a timeshare would allow them the flexibility to travel whenever they wanted, they went through and signed on the fine print. It wouldn’t take long for the hardship of the timeshare to show its true colors.
Below is a word for word account of the timeshare ordeal that Daniel experienced. We hope his written account will enlighten you to some of the tactics that the timeshare industry often uses on good, unsuspecting people. Names of people have been changed and/or redacted for privacy reasons.
“They told us we could travel anywhere/anytime and not pay full price for it. My wife and I are educators, and we love traveling during breaks so this sounded very beneficial to us. Plus, we have three kids and we want to show them things we may not have seen as kids. So we thought a timeshare was a good idea until it became obvious that it was not what we were told.”
Daniel and his wife couldn’t evade the broken promises after signing their timeshare agreement. One of the most frustrating things they experienced were all of the blackout dates. Even though they had been told they could vacation anytime they wanted, this never seemed to be the case.
“They kept increasing fees for everything and blacked out most of the year to most of the places we wanted to go. Since we’re both teachers, the times we had availability to travel and vacation were almost always blacked out.”
Distraught by the thought that they had been manipulated into their timeshare, Daniel and his wife started to examine their options for getting rid of their timeshare. At first they attempted to sell the timeshare. Faced with the harsh reality of the timeshare resale market, Daniel then tried to convince his timeshare company to take the deed back. Once again, his resort developer would not comply.
“I think it had been nearly six years of us looking for a way out when we finally saw an advertisement on the internet for Wesley Financial. After we did some research and saw their reviews on a few websites we felt they hit the marks we were looking for.”
We are proud to announce that after Daniel and his wife signed on with Wesley Financial Group, LLC our team was able to assist him in relieving over $15,000 in timeshare mortgage debt.* This is not to mention that his timeshare agreement is terminated and he’s finally free of any other additional fees.
“I give Wesley an A+ from start to finish. Their staff was straightforward and effective. Everyone was very helpful and always kept us in the loop. We can’t wait to travel without having to worry about any hidden fees or other obligations that come along with owning a timeshare.”
