With A Limited Income, Rose & Malachi Could Not Afford the Ever-Increasing Maintenance Fees

Timeshares are sold and marketed as a money-saving alternative to traveling and vacations, but is that really the case? Rose and Malachi thought they were getting a pretty good deal at first, but after being constantly hounded for more payments, they no longer believed the above statement about timeshares.

Below is a firsthand account from the couple on their time as timeshare owners and how they regret every decision about it. Names of people and places have been changed and/or redacted for privacy reasons.

“It started with a 90-minute presentation where they gave us a tour of the resort and provided dinner and drinks for us. When we went back to the meeting room they offered us many other discounts for it and we were excited because it seemed so nice and beautiful. But we told them we had a problem, and that was that we did not have enough money with us. We were encouraged to put it on one of their credit cards and were told it was with low interest and the maintenance fees would never go up. Needless to say, it lasted much longer than 90 minutes but closer to five hours instead.”

Timeshare salespeople could be considered artists because they do know how to paint the perfect picture for you. If only they could walk it as they talk it through.

“In the beginning, we were satisfied with our timeshare and were enjoying our time spent there. But, over time, the property began to deteriorate, and so we attended one of the upgrade meetings at the resort. After doing this, everything went downhill. It was now always difficult to book a vacation and our maintenance fees started to increase. I went to another meeting about all this and there I was pushed to convert to a points plan so I would never pay maintenance fees again.”

It’s amazing how timeshare representatives can sometimes tell you the same lie over and over again and it still works. Rose and Malachi realized there was something weird going on with their timeshare agreement.

“There definitely seems to be something illegal going on at our timeshare company, because they’ll charge us for something one year and then years later tell us that we paid something completely different and now we have to pay again. We are trapped with a timeshare company that is not telling the truth to its owners, and I refuse to leave this behind for my family to suffer with.“

When Rose and Malachi reached out to us at Wesley Financial Group, LLC (“WFG”), we knew they needed our services. Within less than a year, we are happy to announce that they are now timeshare free and have been relieved of close to $30,000 in timeshare mortgage debt.* Now when they travel for vacations, they plan to use the alternatives that will actually save them money.

Do you know anyone who could use our timeshare termination services? Please refer them to our phone number below, we would be happy to see if they qualify with us.
