Dave J. Was Pressured Into A Timeshare After His Wife Passed Away

Dave was taken advantage of when he met with a timeshare sales representative right after the death of his wife. Below is a word for word account of the timeshare ordeal that Dave experienced. We hope his written account will enlighten some of the tactics that the timeshare industry often uses on good, unsuspecting people. Names of people have been changed and/or redacted for privacy reasons.

“I feel as if I was pressured to purchase this timeshare because the purchase was done right after the death of my wife. The maintenance fees consistently rose and I had a very difficult time when I tried to purchase the type of residence I wanted to rent.”

When he thinks back to the initial sales meeting, Dave remembers how they held his daughter captive while he left to go to the bank.

“The timeshare reps spoke highly of the facility and the facility staff. Initially, we declined to purchase property, but the reps would not take ‘no’ for an answer and continued to alter the purchase price of the property. Because my debit card would not allow the amount for the down payment, the rep told me I could go to the bank to get cash and they would not let my daughter, who accompanied me to the presentation/tour, go with me. It was as if they held my daughter captive until I returned.”

Having looked for a way out of his timeshare for nearly a year since, one day Dave stumbled across an online advertisement for Wesley Financial Group, LLC (WFG).

“It was so convincing how much success they had in cancelling folks’ timeshares, so I decided to give it a try and I am very glad I did.”

Dave was blown away by the kind of service he received from his WFG staff.

“The professionalism and honesty of the staff with whom I communicated really made me feel confident in what I had signed up for. I'm happy to say that after all was said and done I found WFG to be thorough, professional, honest, and personal. I was treated as a valued individual.”

We are pleased to announce that after Dave signed up for our services, our team was able to assist him in completely terminating his timeshare agreement.*

“Now that I’m free of my timeshare, I can’t wait to go back to just enjoying life with my family. Everyone at Wesley was very helpful on getting me back on track with my life.”
