Olivia S. Received A Phone Call Offering Her A Free Vacation Trip

Some people will attend timeshare sales presentations without a plan in the world of actually purchasing a timeshare unit. Yet somehow, most of these same people end up getting stuck with one of these properties. It seems the best bet is to try and avoid being in the same room as a timeshare salesperson, but if it’s already too late for that then you can always do what Olivia did and that was to call us at Wesley Financial Group, LLC (“WFG”).

Below is a written account from Olivia on her initial experience at a timeshare sales presentation and how it created a burden for her that went on for years. The names of people and places have been changed and/or redacted for privacy reasons.

“I received a call from a timeshare resort company offering me a free vacation stay and I probably told them ‘no’ a dozen times, but they kept talking away. I remember thinking after a while that it sounded like a good deal, and so I just agreed to it. I knew I would have to sit in and listen to their presentation, but I never had any intention to buy anything while there.”

This is the same mindset many others have when it comes to attending a timeshare presentation, but what they do not know is that the salespeople there are on a completely different mission.

“The presentation was supposed to only be an hour, but they started it out with a tour of the resort that lasted several hours alone. So I was relieved to just be able to sit back down and listen to their pitch at that point. They went on and on about what a great deal they were offering but I was still not interested. Over four hours later and they got me to sign up for the smallest package, and so I just felt I had to make the most out of the situation.”

Timeshare salespeople do not give up. If they have to keep you held up for hours on end to get a sale then it appears that they will just do that.

“I never should have bought it. If I would have just been able to go home and think it all over then I would have never done it! All I ever gained from my timeshare was more debt and regret. All the money that I put into it over the years would have been much more useful spent elsewhere.”

So, Olivia eventually grew tired of the constant payments she was making for the timeshare that she never even wanted in the first place. She qualified for our services at WFG and we worked with her to quickly terminate her timeshare. As a result, she is now living timeshare free and was relieved of close to $30,000 in timeshare mortgage debt also.*
