After Her Husband Passed Away, Cheryl C. Was Taken Advantage Of By A Timeshare Sales Team

After her spouse’s death, Cheryl decided to take a vacation for some much needed time away. What she didn’t know was that she would return home a timeshare owner. The following contains a written account of Cheryl’s timeshare disaster. We hope her experiences help uncover the tactics that the timeshare industry might use on everyday people. The names of people and companies have been changed or omitted for privacy reasons.

“It started when I was offered a long weekend stay at a hotel in Las Vegas. In some ways I was still grieving the loss of my husband. He usually handled all of our finances, which I feel also played a role in the salespeople taking advantage of me. I was in a very vulnerable state of mind.”

Cheryl can still recall the moment she was taken advantage of. Though she still feels she could have said no, she very much feels that she was pressured into saying yes.

“I did not want to buy, I was just enjoying getting to go on a short vacation. The woman who was assigned to me asked if I had made a decision. I said yes, (I had decided no). The second the word ‘yes’ came out of my mouth she whisked me off to the salesman. I was pretty much at their mercy after that. I know I had a part in the process, but in retrospect, I felt they took advantage of the fact I was a widow and not making great decisions at that point. I am not used to people lying and taking advantage of me. I eventually got in touch with them to cancel, but they told me I was one day over the cooling off period and they would not budge.”

Feeling like she was taken advantage of, Cheryl started to look for any possible way out, however she was lied to yet again.

“Before reaching out to WFG (Wesley Financial Group, LLC) I was scammed twice. So after doing some research online, I found WFG and was happy to see such a positive reputation from a consumer report article.”

Once she reached out to us, we were able to get her setup with our supportive staff to work towards getting her timeshare agreement terminated.

“It was a wonderful experience. They simply did what they said they would do, which was refreshing for a change. It was very easy to get any questions I had answered. I’m very satisfied with my results too.”

We were able to assist Cheryl by completely terminating her timeshare agreement and allowing her to start thinking about her next vacation.*

“It’s so nice to know that now I can start saving the money I was spending on my timeshare to help pay for my next vacation. The next vacation will be free of any obligations, like a sales presentation.”

If you know someone who could potentially use our services, pass along our phone number below. We would be more than happy to see if they qualify for our timeshare termination services.
