Betsy purchased a timeshare with a smaller company before it was bought out by a larger corporation. She then began to notice that a lot of the promised benefits she was informed about were nowhere to be found.
The following includes direct quotes from Betsy in regards to her timeshare experience. We hope her written account helps to showcase a few of the ways sales representatives persuade clients into purchasing timeshares. The names of people and organizations have been changed or removed due to privacy concerns.
“I'm a grandmother who purchased the timeshare before it fell under a larger management team and was coerced to upgrade several times. After I refused, they threatened me that if I didn't upgrade they would send my info to the credit bureau because of a mistake that caused a long pause in the mortgage payment. They promised a lot and never delivered on any of their promises. The owners' updates were long and pressurized. I actually disliked the owner's updates, but took the gift card to buy groceries for their wasting of my time.”
Feeling as though she had been wronged by her timeshare team, Betsy began to start welcoming the idea of leaving her timeshare. The final straw was when she and her friends had a negative experience during a vacation.
“One time I took a group of friends with me, and there were bugs flying in the cabin. We couldn't sleep. It was embarrassing, and they didn't have another cabin for us to change to. We battled the flies in shifts. I felt like they should have done a better job of managing the situation.”
Betsy started to lean on her faith. She felt helpless when one day she heard an advertisement for Wesley Financial Group, LLC (“WFG”).
“After praying for many years for a way out, I believed that someday I would get out. And one day I heard a WFG commercial on both tv and radio. I believed it would happen and it did, I was saved.”
Betsy was blown away by the knowledge and experience of the Wesley Financial Group, LLC staff. When comparing WFG to the third party companies her timeshare group referred to her… the competition wasn’t even close.
“The timeshare sales people had a third party group they referred me to. The third party group charged a fee to list your timeshare and it was never rented or sold. Meanwhile, Wesley had experience with cancelling timeshare. I heard about Wesley’s sincerity and then after I signed on I saw just how real it was.”
We are pleased to announce that after working with us, Betsy is now free of her timeshare agreement.*
“My experience with WFG has been phenomenal. I believe I was led to you to get out of the timeshare rat race.”
