Eli & Anna H.’s Timeshare Took Away Their Family Vacation Rather Than Adding to It

“They offered us discounted theme park tickets, and all we had to do in exchange was to attend a 90 minute presentation with no obligations to purchase a timeshare.”

Below is a written account of Eli and Anna’s intense timeshare sales presentation as well as their experience after purchasing their timeshare. Names of people have been changed and/or redacted for privacy reasons.

Eli and Anna H. were offered theme park tickets by a timeshare salesman in exchange for a little bit of their time during a presentation. What they thought would take 90 minutes turned into an eight hour presentation, and eventually, the couple purchased a timeshare after caving to the intense sales pressure.

“The sales people told us that purchasing the timeshare was a good investment. We were told we can rent our timeshare and they would help us to rent it out. We just needed to call the salesman--which we did after our purchase, but he never responded after I’d made several calls.

They told us that we’d get a $1,500 rewards travel saving credit to basically cover the $1,300 maintenance fee and future vacation booking like hotels, airfare, cruise and car rental. We found out later that these are all lies, and that we can only use 10%.”

This timeshare ownership has had the exact opposite effect for their family than the couple had originally intended. They have had to work hundreds of hours of overtime at their jobs to even cover the cost of this timeshare, which was supposed to serve as a way for them to spend quality family time together away from their busy professional lives.

“We’re facing big emotional and financial impacts on our family. Due to the payment rising to almost double the initial amount, we have had to work extra hours to cover the payment. We’ve also had to pay membership fees to use travel services that are never available when we can use them and they’ve ultimately served us no purpose.

Our 8-year-old boy has lost quite a bit of his time with both parents, including weekends. Our family simply can’t be together due to us having to work overtime.”

After seeing no way out of their timeshare, Eli and Anna contacted us here at Wesley Financial Group, LLC (WFG), to help the couple cancel their timeshare. We are happy to report that the couple successfully escaped their timeshare nightmare with the help of WFG!*

Does Eli and Anna’s timeshare story sound eerily familiar? If you know someone who could potentially use our services, pass along our phone number below. We would be more than happy to see if they qualify for our timeshare termination services.
